Registered Behavior Technician - Part Time (School/In-Home)

Columbia, MD

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to fulfill the role of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a full-time capacity. The RBT will primarily work in a school setting but be available for evening in home clients as well, providing behavioral therapy services to children with autism or other developmental disabilities. This position requires the ability to work independently under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and collaborate with other members of the treatment team.

Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA, utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to help children develop functional skills and reduce problem behaviors
- Collect and record data on a regular basis to track progress and make evidence-based treatment decisions
- Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients, following treatment protocols and individualized goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure consistency and generalization of skills across settings
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement systems
- Provide ongoing support and supervision to parents and caregivers, offering training on behavior management strategies and techniques
- Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times, following relevant regulations and guidelines for the field of ABA

Requirements:
- Must hold a current RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field is highly preferred
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and communicate complex concepts to parents and caregivers
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also being open to feedback and supervision from the BCBA
- Must pass a criminal background check and provide proof of immunizations as required by state regulations
